MEGHAN THOMPSON PAYNE

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Meghan joined the team in 2020 as the Operations Manager, bringing invaluable knowledge from her diverse professional background. Her experience with corporate administration and accounting in the finance industry, running a landscaping business, non-profit development roles, and working in the wine industry, provides her with valuable insights into business operations that she applies seamlessly in her role at Upright.

Meghan is inspired by the uniqueness of each engineering project, seeing them as opportunities to learn and make a tangible impact on people's lives. Her ability to connect with team members and clients alike fosters a positive working environment, allowing her to contribute meaningfully to the projects she supports.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticultural Science from Cal Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, with a double minor in Wine and Viticulture and Residential Landscape Design.

Beyond her professional role, Meghan loves hiking and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She stays actively engaged in her community through volunteering and enjoys frequent trips to Tahoe, where she skis in winter and hikes in the warmer months. An animal lover, Meghan has 12 chickens, 2 cats, and 2 dogs that accompany her on outdoor adventures. As a proud mother of two, she cherishes family time and has a passion for travel, embracing the beauty and diversity of the world. Running Upright with her partner, Austin, Meghan looks forward to the future and is excited about what lies ahead for the company.
