Lead Structural Engineer
We are seeking a full-time in-office Lead Structural Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with projects, including Structural Engineering Design, Communication, and Project Management. The Lead Structural Engineer will work under the Owner and will be responsible for seeing projects through from initiation to completion. Responsibilities include managing other engineers and drafters, monitoring project budgets and timelines, drafting and redlining projects, preparing calculations, talking to clients over the phone and email, working with plan checkers to address plan check comments, and corresponding with contractors to address issues during construction.
Responsibilities
Lead the structural engineering team in preparing residential & commercial projects.
Utilize AutoCAD and ENERCALC.
Manage and delegate tasks to project engineers, drafters, and support staff.
Manage project budgets and timelines.
Maintain and manage client relationships.
Conduct fieldwork at various sites as needed.
Research and solve technical challenges to ensure project success.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Structural Engineering.
Experience in a management position and overseeing the work of others.
Experience with residential structural drafting and calculations.
Competence with AutoCAD and ENERCALC.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Ability and willingness to perform field work at various sites.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong aptitude for researching and solving technical problems.
PE or SE preferred but not required.
Civil Engineer
We are seeking a driven self-starter to lead and grow our Civil team. The role of Civil Engineer is a full-time, in-office position and responsibilities include corresponding with clients, preparing construction plans and reports, and conducting fieldwork. Previous design experience with grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans is required.
Responsibilities
Prepare construction drawings/plans and documents for: residential land development, erosion control, grading & drainage, pavement repair, site improvement, utility plans, etc.
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create surfaces, calculate earthwork volumes, and prepare high-quality plans
Conduct fieldwork to take measurements and make observations
Research and solve technical challenges
Identify and respond to RFPs
Collaborate with team members and work independently to make design decisions
Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication
Qualifications
Experience with preparing civil grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans
Competence with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to self-prioritize and multitask effectively
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
EIT or PE license preferred
Land Surveyor
We are seeking a full-time licensed Land Surveyor to join our Civil team. As a Survey Party Chief, they will be responsible for managing the newly formed survey department. Duties will include planning and scheduling for the survey crew, collection and reduction of data collected in the field, acquisition and maintenance of survey equipment, working with clients and Cities/Counties to prepare maps, subdivisions, and more. Work with the Civil Engineering team to collect data, prepare plans, perform staking, and field checks.
Responsibilities
Plan and schedule surveying projects.

Acquire and maintain survey equipment.
Working with clients and Cities/Counties to prepare maps, subdivisions, and more.
Collaborate with our civil engineers on design and construction projects.
Qualifications
Fully licensed California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS).
Competence with operation and maintenance of field instruments (such as a total station).
Ability to work in the field to perform topographic and boundary survey.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and experience preparing maps.
Familiarity with subdivisions including SB9 projects, ability to get projects approved and recorded with Cities and Counties.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Management experience preferred.
